I like the stock navigation systems, but I am curious if anyone has put in a aftermarket navi in?

Do you have the stock one already?

I have an LT3 and it stock with no navi. I have seen other LTZ's with navis and thought they looked bad ass. Just curious what others have done.

I hate mine. Always ***** up. was like a 2100 dollar option, I got a 200 dollar garmin 750 from sams club and it works soooooo much better. But I do like the stock look alot better than the aftermarket look. I wish there was a stock unit with aftermarket software.

So its been giving you problems? I always have wanted one in my truck, but never got the cash to get it. My wife is content with what she has in the tahoe, no navi with a boss system. :nono:

I have the LTZ.... seems to work just fine in stock for... Although I prefer my Magellan over it, it has yet to have any problems and is used quite frequently

Like I said, I am always looking to get a new one in my truck. What did that cost ya and what features does it have?

may depend on your area, but mine picks routes that are not always the best route. Also it does not warn you and assist you as much as it could, you get used to it. But It still is when the cheaper easier to use garmin is spot on, and has more features. (plus its cheaper than the lock pick)

Im not a big fan of the factory nav but it is much nicer than having to mess with wiring the aftermarket one in. Aftermarkets have much better features and usually give better directions.

The LTZ came stock with it. Are you talking bout the Magellan? Forgot how much it was but it has a shitload of options on it. It'll call AAA for roadside assistance for me, poinits of interest, bluetooth, it tells you the names of the streets instead of just "Turn right in 300 ft". It will actually say "In .2 miles turn right on to Bird Ave". I like that a lot. SD slots so you can upload whatever you want onto it as well.

Dude, that statment deserves a ban on both sites :nono:

I couldn't agree more:adminpower:

I always wind up using the nav on my cell phone and it works MUCH better than the stock nav in my Denali. It one time told me to turn off a main road (50 mph) onto a side road (30mph) just to run right back into the main road again...just didn't make any sense to me. I should have saved the money on the stocker and gone aftermarket, there are so many options out there these days with an aftermarket HU.

I was hoping to buy the Pioneer BT-90 when it came out last year, but they have had nothing but problems. With all the adapters now the stock Navi you can control everthing from dvd, ipod, and multi cameras. Wish I would have bought the stock nav.
