synthetic oil

i do my oil changes on the 3000 mile dot. i recently switched over to synthetic and using k&N or mobil1 oil filters. i dont have any mods or performance parts other then a msd coil. ami wasting money by using synthetic or should i just use regular oil or a synthetic blend?
I have 145k miles and I don't have any performance mods. Should I still use synthetic or am I wasting my money?

If you are using synthetic move your changes to 5-6k. You are using a quality filter that will keep the oil good and clean.

I've known people who have used what you are using an sent their oil to be tested after 7500 miles and it tests almost as if it was new.

yeah but what im asking is should i still use it or is using the reg oil the same thing since i have a lot of miles and no performance parts.

I don't have any performance parts and my last 2 vehicles I drove until 214k and 102k and always used Mobil1 with extended intervals.

If you have your heart set on 3k I probably wouldn't bother.
