Only the 80's-90's hatches and convertibles are cheap, I have a couple. Everyone who gets one tries to make a race car out of it.View attachment 486915View attachment 486916
Ohhh a fox! Not sure why I was thinking an SN95 I think they are called, the ones just after the fox which supposedly have a great chassis but of course a mod motor.

That thing looks great! I’ve always wanted a fox, figured it would make a good daily drive/ rip around town car.

It's definitely a fun car. Not great on gas tho
I get 200 miles to a tank. It's a 347 stroker with a tune. It was hard to find someone who still messes with obd1.

Oh that’s really cool, factory EFI?
It originally came with EFI, but--I know it has a Trick Flow upper intake, BBK bigger injectors--forget the flow rate--BBK tb. I don't remember what else, I bought it like this.
It was exactly what I was looking for--it was an automatic with ac/heat, and wasn't gutted. I wanted something fun, but not a race car. Something to mess around with light to light.
That wasn't me in the video lol.

@Tonyrodz I'm just giving you a hard time, I have always liked the Fox body mustangs. Those came with the long runner intake manifold, like Fords version of a Tuned Port Intake (TPI), they made lots of torque.
I know @kbuskill. It's all in good fun. I'm really not a Ford guy, but I've always liked the Mustang notchbacks. I also have a Lincoln LS as a daily. Has a 3.9 V8, which was a joint venture with Jaguar. This is when Jaguar was owned by Ford. But I'm still not a Ford guy lol.

Is it fun fast? Will it roast the tires?

Definitely "FUN" fast. The car is really light, MAYBE 3000 lbs. Had it tdyno tuned so it's putting 300 to the wheels. Has line locks on it too--which is fun to use. I've roasted the tires once--lots of smoke! The Tahoe has more horses, and I've driven it to 140, but i don't think I'd drive the Mustang past 100. It's pretty scary at speed, mostly because it's such a small car.
I bought it because I've always liked the coupes. Gonna have a little fun then I'm selling it. I still have a few more things to fix on it. Right now it's having a starting issue. I think it might be the fuel pump--which is maybe a year old. Fords......lol

300hp in 3k# is a perfect combo for fun! I keep telling myself I’ll get a little car to play around with. I like the 80s caprice coups, a little hopped up 5.3 and a modern trans would be a riot in one of those.

What would be really fun is that motor in my ranger. Taught a off-roading and recovery basics class to some friends today. Rangers so dang fun but would be more fun with double the power.

A winch you can move to either end, s*n*a*t*c*h blocks and fiber line are a set up that is hard to beat. I had all that and then some when I was off roading, trail riding and rock crawling with my 73 K5 Blazer. Been thru Rubicon, Moab, Potato salad Hill and numerous other mud bogs and places here in Oregon.

I had a winch on a hitch basket and it worked great but man it was heavy to tote around. I’ll probably get another at some point because you’re right only having one mounted to the front limits options. But a ****** block or two can help with that too. Those cheap traction boards aren’t horrible either, used them earlier this year on a dried lake bed, and a landcruiser used them today on a hill climb and they got him up surprisingly.

I’d love to go out west and play around but man rocks can be unforgiving

I gotta say that the most fun I ever had with the K5 Blazer, better known as BRUTUS, was the mud runs in Mo. and in Oregon. The other stuff was challenging and to do some of it as a FULL SIZE rig, surprised other people and my self but the mud runs, wins the FUN AWARD, hands down!
