So tore them apart just to add rgb strips to the strips in the headlights. More I dug in more I wanted to add work to myself lol.

One of the easiest mods is passive demon eyes. Plastidip red for the effect. Make sure to lay down white first as a base to brighten up the red. This goes for any painting. Black to darken , grey to keep neutral.

Did a full interior detail while it’s blown apart. Hid all the oem wiring . Upgrade speaker wire. Started on headliner that’s been out for a year just sitting in my spare room. Properly mounted the amp so it’s not just sitting in the floor behind the passenger seat. Threw the oem storage cover back in.

Any ideas how to patch up the holes in the headliner? What can I use? I want a smooth/shaved headliner.

Currently don’t have dome lights so threw this in just for fun. Surface mounted my tweets so they’re not sticking out as much, later I want them behind the panel with a face grille like the Tahoe had.

Added lights to the backyard for Christmas.

Then added some to the front. All rgb all separately programmable.

As I’m posting all this , Happy New Year from Medford , OR!

2025 was normal at first then it progressively got worse through the year and ended in a shytsho. Can’t catch a break. To be honest nothing has gone right since I moved to AZ. But 2026 needs to be a major change, not looking back at all.

I guess there’s been a few more mods but almost everything is mock ups and no follow throughs.

So all the front yard lights are just ones I brought over

from the back yard. Just lazy decorating but turned out to be pretty sick. Rest of the year my backyard looks like this.

Removed the cloth on the upper panel insert . Will rewrap them with the same material as headliner. The armrests were coming apart so I had them tacked and stapled.

Picked up the most hated grille for any 99-06 trucks.always had an idea for the Tahoe, bothered me so much I had to try it on the Silverado. Now obviously I’m not going to leave it like this. But I had an idea of just the center bar and billet pieces from headlight to headlight. Then also wing pieces on the end for an open grille in the middle but still borders between the lights. Can also be done with a Tahoe front. Colormatch would be the finishing touch but you get the idea.
Added the popular hood light everyone is getting and adding to their brand new $70k trucks (so tacky and ghetto looking imo) cringe. But instead I mocked it up in the middle and im kinda diggin the look. None of these are permanent, just messing around with ideas.

More ideas and visions I’ve had for years coming to life ….sort of. LED glow looks wild behind a full billet grille. Got a newer grille but it’s just too tall to work in a 03+. You can see where it just barely cuts into the corners of the headlights. Lots of shaving and cutting just to not have it work. But I think it will work perfectly on a 99-02/tahoe grille, hd in particular. So probably a side project later for someone.

Been wanting to change my face , gauge face that is. Little peek of what gaugewerx work looks like, kinda sloppy for what he charges. I expected perfection but that rarely exists these days.

Any idea why only one out of 8 pads is destroyed? Been hearing a grinding noice, kept getting worse. I’ve never changed the brakes so I figured they were do. Changed the fronts just to hear the same grinding, was the rear, fronts were fine, so was half the rear. Kind of a waste of $500 in brakes just to replace one pad. But everything was already installed. Not exactly how I wanted to do it. I wanted to get 07+ brakes like I did with the Tahoe but I was in a time crunch and had to get what VatoZone had.

So the blue looks sick with led backlighting and independent lit needles. Never seen this particular face done like this.

And the glow face looks even wilder with the indigo light and white lit Escalade needles, again never been done before, just needs some pink for that Miami vice look that’s so popular now lol.

A sticky/seized caliper slide pins will do that.

Did you figure out the headliner infill? Maybe 1/4 plywood held in place with epoxy?

Cool post BTW. I'm surprised I've never seen it and been here a few years...

That’s cause I haven’t posted for a few years, not much had been done. But thanks. The cool thread is my Tahoe one lol.

So the pins are likely the same and it will do the same later on? ‍♂️

This guy on a Chevy fb group suggested spray foam. He’s done really nice interiors for these trucks.

I like this look the best
It was a clean look, but those wheels got more and more popular. Even though I had the chrome wheel skins I had to change it up. Every single cab on ig and here in az has those wheels.

Curious why the stock speaker is an 8 ohm instead of 4. You replaced with a 4 ohm. Any difference in the sound? Or anything else?

Haven’t installed yet. Had to leave state. Install in a couple weeks but should be a better sound in theory lol

I agree the wire mesh style grill kinda looks janky but I like it with the solid backlit Chevrolet bar that’s pretty cool!
