I haven't really cared for a backup camera either, until I started driving a cargo van for work. I have no rear visibility at all, so I need the camera and the side mirrors when backing that thing up.
But my Suburban, I've been driving that thing for the past 20 years now with no backup camera, and I can back it up with NO problem. I can usually get within a foot of whatever I am backing up to. If I towed a trailer more often, then I would probably want one for solo trailer hookup. But other than that, I would probably not use it often. When I drive my wife's Traverse I don't even look at the camera, I look at the mirrors when backing up because I am so used to driving my Suburban.
That's funny i am the exact opposite, heck I want to put one in my mustang everytime I back up I am looking for the camera. :)

Can this camera see the hitch coupler, or is it adjustable vertically? Asking for a friend...
Here is your answer. Someone else set up.

Over the Labor Day weekend when going to my property, Denali drug really bad in our creek and ripped off the 7-pin connector bracket. so Relocated it higher into the bumper. Decided to do the escalade while I was at it.

Our creek had washed out due to some torrential rains, I got the tractor out and re-graded the area to hopefully prevent bottoming out again.

My 04 Z71 was too far gone to do any further work to pass RMV inspection (or drive safely for that matter)... Sadly I had to move on.

I paid too much for it at the beginning of COVID with 187k miles, but I needed transportation. But was a lot of fun to drive and very comfortable (until the AC failed...).
I had a few repairs along the way between 2021 and now. Some jobs needed more advice than others, but there were a good number of members here on this forum that contributed with some expert advice. It was over 255k miles BTW...

Your help was greatly appreciated!

I have moved over to the dark side of things... I just got into a 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road 4-door pickup with 6 spd. manual, A-Trac and locking rear differential. Loaded and also so much fun to drive! Heated seats in the winter is something I will look forward to!!! I might check in here from time to time, but not as much.

Just wanted to thank you all and let you know that you helped me get through some tricky diagnostics and repairs. You are the best!!! If the Yoda forums are half as knowledgeable and half as nice, I will be in good hands over there for the next few years. Thank you!

P.S.: I may be looking to sell my like-new Vetronix Tech II scan tool with CANDI and all the stuff except the hard case option... Let's talk, if interested.

i've got a wet floor mat on my driver side.
thinking it is coming from either the rubber grommets from the door, or underneath the windshield cowl

I bought some of that ceramic spray coating from the TICTOC shop. Put it on yesterday. Looks pretty good! Going to put on a second coat sometime this weekend. Needs a little touch up paint and clear coat in a couple of small areas also.

Pulled the sunroof cover off and attempted to reglue the original fabric. It was a pain to get out and while it’s not hanging down it looks pretty bad. I might try to find some new fabric to fix it proper if it bugs me enough.

pull the kick panel cover off by the e brake lever, theres a oval hole there and some sound deading material. see if thats wet via a finger poke. theres a drain hole down inside this cavity that clogs up. i found some vids on this issue did the hose test like the vid suggested and water was indeed coming in from there. used a long thin screw driver to poke the drain hole clear. that was 4-5 years ago, no issues since.

water test is simply letting a open hose pour water from the the windshield at the A pillar to cowl and fender. sit inside while some one holds the hose there and then keep a eye on that hole for it to pool up.

Took my girl to my indy yesterday. Needs ANOTHER oil pressure sensor. Original lasted 19 years. This is the 5th one in 2 years. Getting a new drivers side mirror put on. Glass broke. And getting a good once over to get her prepared for winter. New tires are next week.
