I've got the AXN rear axle installed! (I think)

Currently the front and rear diffs have different ratios..
I haven't removed the front driveshaft yet (Anything else need to come out for it to clear?)
Will I be OK so long as I don't engage 4WD?

Planning to write a stock 3.42 tune in the morning and give it a test run..

AXN axle on the road!

First drive impression is.. Not noticing much improvement due to 3.08 to 3.42 change..
Off the line feels the same. Shifts sooner, but driving around doesn't feel more torquey.

Partly because I had 1-3 unlocked in the 3.08 tune, running stock 3.42 tune now.
Will drive it a good week or so before I tweak the 3.42 tune.

My passenger side mirror just stopped folding the other day.
Not looking forward to messing with it, but it shouldn't be bad if I do the glass removal method.

I always thought it was just carpet padding.
No cabin filter up front so why would there be one in the rear?

Changed the air filter, used some CRC MAF cleaner and pulled the airbox so I could clean it out with soap and water.

No filter. Yep just carpet padding.

The rear blower stays cleaner than the front one.
I think all the dust settles out by the time the air makes it to intake on the backside.
Also there is no fresh air intake for the rear.

i ended up using a Fitzall T74498-1A, Then drilled the nipple and put a washer on the outside and a cotter pin. it been fine for over 4 years now
autoparts store has a multipack of small cotter pins, the nipple drills easily it's not hard metal.
I guess the dorman is probably similar, would still use a washer and cotter pin though, that makes it impossible to pop off again.

Regarding the shifter bushing..

I ended up using the Dorman Help! 14092.

I wanted to get it on the road quick, and that's what they had at oreilly's.
It's fits perfectly! Super easy to install. Looks designed like the original part it's replacing.
Feels like stock as well.

Now to see how long it lasts...
I forgot to lube the shaft, but a moderate tug wouldn't pop it loose.
I left it alone and smooshed some silicone around the end of the pin instead.

It's nice that Dorman gives you two. If it breaks, you can throw that spare in super fast..
Honestly I feel it should last a good while. Probably depends on the material it's such a small thin flimsy part..

Over the last 2 weeks I finally got to install the fender flares from a Z71 Suburban, fit was good, although the rear bumper is not the same so the lines don't match up but it does not bother me that much. I am on a hunt for bumper next.

I was unsure about the silver wheels so I reinstalled the black wheel skins and I think it looks better. This is the set up without them on.

Installed 2019-up 4 piston brakes from a 2024 Escalade, these parts were removed from a brand new vehicle and the mechanic working on the car felt bad throwing good new parts away so they ended up in my possession for 120$. That included loaded calipers and rotors. Install took 30min, about 15min per side, Shockingly easy and a great upgrade. Brake pedal feels confident and a bit more firm. I suspect there was a little bit of air in the system as my pedal was always soft and uninspiring.

The dodge wheels clear these brakes with no issues.

There's a lot of metal NOT on the magnet! Guess that's all the magnet will hold..

Did anything happen to cause the breakage?

What ratio? AXN axle will drop right in...
