Did some searching around on here but I couldn’t find a conclusive answer. Are these trim pieces on the lower part of the doors held on with adhesive only, or are there clips that hold them on as well? I really want to remove these. Our ‘24 Yukon is summit white, but I don’t think the black vinyl wrap would look good. Painting them white might be an option but I really don’t like the look of them regardless. I may end up painting the large chrome rear hatch trim piece since that one has clips and can’t be deleted, so I will do the same to the door trim if needed. I really hate that there’s so much chrome on these things and no blackout option from the factory!!

Gmpartsdirect.com shows that there are two "clips" associated with the door moldings:

Did you ever color match these trim pieces (especially the rear)? Any pictures?

That sucks. They’ve used high bond tape for the last 30 years and its worked fine. That’s the first thing I did when I bought my 08 was to remove all the moldings.
I kept the moldings on my '09 Tahoe's doors, but I thought about replacing them with the Escalade's moldings. The Esky's had double-sided tape on the back as well -- but they also had a couple "posts" on the back that aligned the moldings into holes in the doors. Pretty strange.

This guy shows how to replace window trim and the door moldings (although not always pretty). Thought it may be helpful.

On my 25 they just pulled all the chrome trim and replaced it with AT4 black trim. This solves the problem the fastest and lasts the lifetime of the vehicle.....
