Getting ready for a pheasant hunting trip to SD. Replaced my temporary duty spare with a full size 22” road worthy spare and made sure I had all the tools and they worked.
Here is the new spare and tucked away under the Suburban. The cardboard is under there because I sprayed some fluid film in a few likely rust spots.

@justchecking what size tire you got on that spare? OEM 285/45R22?

Can you post some pics how it looks from the back with a full size 22” spare back there?

Interested in how much lowered it sits below the bumper cover and ground clearance. I should really do this for Wilwood BBK at all 4 corners.

So here's the deal. A few years ago a tow truck driver flagged us down because he had a chevy truck client stuck in the woods with a shredded tire and neither him nor the owner had the chevy tool to crank the tire down. So we drove in there and he used my tool to crank the tire down (it was a bear because the crank mechanism was all corroded up). Finally got the tire down and installed and someone noticed the "TEMPORARY USE ONLY" note on the sidewall (and as I recall the truck may have had aftermarket tires and wheels on it). Well, they had a couple hundred miles to tow a camper home and probably over max gross vehicle weight because modern hunters take EVERYTHING with them. So how far is too far on a temporary only spare?
So I make sure I am good to go with options.
My new spare tire is a Bridgestone Alenza 285/45R22 32.1" Dia with 11.2" section width on a 22x9 rim with same offset and setback. I went ahead and bought a new tire because the other four are brand spanking new. My OEM spare was a 265/70R17 with a 31.6" Dia and 10.4" section width. It was clearly marked TEMPORARY USE ONLY and also somewhere I saw DO NOT TOW WITH THIS TIRE. So the new tire is only .5" bigger in diameter and .8" wider. The picture I posted below tries to show that the differential still hangs slightly below the tire. Standing in back of the vehicle I could not really see that the spare now hangs 0.8" lower than it did before.
The previous spare rim was designed so it would not hold water. If you look closely at the picture of the new spare in the earlier post you may be able to see a small weep hole opposite the valve stem. That is oriented at the lowest point when the tire is cranked up under the Suburban. Any more questions, just ask!

Looks like I’ll have the pleasure of replacing this hose once I fly in from SLC today. Wife noticed coolant was really low and was dripping from the right front side… gotta be those factory crimp style clamps going bad already
2019 Suburban 5.3 117k on it.

doubtful, it's more common for the side of the radiator plastic to develop a small crack and start leaking

I installed the dual battery setup from the 2011 into the 2019. I tried to make it look OEM as possible. There is nothing to see on the passenger side since the upfitter manual recommends running the positive cable to the starter positive terminal.

What I have done so far this year.
Air raid intake tube and engine cover

New wheels.
Power stop Brake kit for all 4 corners

Vland Escalade style taillights

Have had this Tahoe since new and it will be 10 years old next week. It was due for a little touch up.

Started adding speakers, amp, sub to my new K2, then stopped after putting in the kicker ksc270 speakers to the corner dash locations. Somehow the tiny 2 3/4 speakers completely changed the whole sound. More clarity, volume, and bass with less distortion - and not just a little improvement. It has to be the crossovers lending power somehow back to the door 6x9s. Best $60 mod I have ever done - just beware, they look like a joke...

Those are 4 ohm speakers. Could be the extra load on the output would change the sound quaility some. I did get to a web site with the link, heck of a deal if true.

It says they take PayPal but tread carefully, I poked around on there a bit looks fishy.
It's easy for a person or persons to create a new website, list stuff at fantastic price, grab a bunch of money and sail ship before anyone is the wiser, happens all the time

I can't speak for the actual impedance of the Kickers as I didn't check before I installed them but I just read 3.5 ohm off each bose tweeter I had pulled out of my Denali. My assumption has always been that the Kickers were lower impedance and/or more efficient as I did get codes after I changed the speakers but without changing anything else the whole Bose system sounded better and more clear. After a couple of weeks of break-in on the tweeters it sounds GREAT for a factory system.

I've done several GMT800 Bose setups a huge favor by powering the tiny factory sub separately which gives the front speakers a lot more power to work with and they sound a lot clearer. Not to mention you can put more than 700w RMS into that little 4.5" sub and it slams better than you would ever expect and I have yet to blow one. I suspect the same principle applies to both situations as I've never actually had gripes with Bose speakers themselves they always sound good but GM and Bose really love to underpower things to the point of ruining them.

Catching up on my mods... I removed the rear bracket and hitch fascia because I use this to tow the camper and utility trailer. I rarely had the old fascia installed on the 2011. I also trimmed the front air dam because the previous owner had already scratched it up. I like this look better anyway.

I had originally wanted to wire my dashcam to the passenger side fuse box, but couldn't find a suitable accessory or run tap. So I wired it to the driver side misc accessory (via a fuse piggyback tap). I wasn't sure that was legit since the original fuse was a 10 amp and I piggybacked a 5 amp. SO I bought the upfitter cable part number 15547108. That cable had crazy wire colors and was mis-pinned so I tested the circuits (and future ones I may want) and re-pinned it. I put the dashcam on a dedicated 10 amp.
