viper alarm install to factory

interesting question here. i had a viper alarm installed to the factory bcm and all of my approach lighting went out. The only time that the approach lighting would work is with popping the rear glass. NOW, i disconnected the ONE wire that is attached to the bcm and all works again. The viper alarm module allowed me to use the factory key fob, everything was normal except the approach lighting would not work when I unlocked the doors at night!
Any thoughts on this one. the dealer says that connecting anything to the bcm will throw off the brain off - just seems really weird anyone else have this happen?

I have the same issue but I have chosen to let it go. I was told that, this is one feature that I would be losing but hell it's a 2-way so I wasn't tripping but I do miss the approach lighting, but I ususally just auto-start the truck

how much does an alarm run with auto start? The reason i ask is because i lost my one and only key fob!

LOL for the past year I've been wondering why my approach lighting didnt work!! haha and now I know. thanks.

so i guess theres no way around it to get it working right? cause I just picked up the viper 5902.
