My 2004 NBS is a 4 pin (but only has three wires) and no RVC.

I see there are some two-to-four adapters. Wonder if there’s harm trying out an OEM 160 or 220 like you mention?

I meant to post up a vid. It's no Mechman, but if you or someone else reading this has an application for it:

4-pin regulator is #D3579.

That’s what Mechman had me do. Knew it was excited because it hummed a bit, but still only low 12v under high load. Super weird because I’m 100% OEM electric wise aside from the electric fan conversion, and obviously the upgraded wires for the Mechman. I’ll start a thread in a bit in the NBS section. Sorry all! :)
meh all good. 800-900 whatever it takes…;)

my part number 13534128 regulator looks like this, super eazy to swap. just a few screws and no solder. but I can't find anything that swaps.. can't even find a replacement one. PXL_20230728_023101604.jpg

ahh makes sense. I have different aftermarket ones.. they kinda do the same thing but are led so they don't pull much power and no drl. it uses a external wire to a fuse tap for the led bar for the drl. it just dims when the head lights come on. but it's on a fuse that has power anytime the key is on. not sure if you could wire it like that some how.

if you happen to still have your stock housings laying around to troubleshoot with that could be helpful. I tossed mine back the box and thought I'd polish them up and sell them because they didn't look you bad but never got around to it haha.
I kept the OEM ones. However, my shop isn't built yet and they're stuck in boxes in the back of a shelf, behind a bunch of other stuff, really high up, in a building far away. I may or may not bother hunting for them just yet.

Gotta remember that the alternators off these newer rigs are 6-phase. Probably not gonna find many replacement parts.

I honestly don't fully understand the difference but these things work well very well. if you order a amp clamp I'll be interested to see what you can load yours too.

the ebay seller got back to me finally and said he's going to locate me a good one and send it out. he didn't say if it was a regulator or a whole alt. I asked but go nothing. I'll see if anything shows up haha. but I clocked it so it's facing upright and the plug doesn't look like it's going fall out and if it does it defaults to 13.7 without the plug anyways haha.

my bcm sim came in today. I need to wire it in to see if it's going to work. I gotta resist the urge to take it apart and see what's inside it. don't wanna break it before I test it haha. I have a feeling it's just a small Arduino board inside of a big relay case and plug harness.

Picked up a 3.73 geared IFS in Fort Myers today. Circled Lake Okeechobee, up and over on the way and down and around on the way back. Took the 2013 6.2 Sierra, first time behind the wheel for so long, she's a nice ride and love the passing power of that glorious 6.2. Good on gas too!

Here's a pic of the donor, the salvage yard paid $3125 for it at auction:

unless you are running hid blinkers then yes you need resistors, the hybrids may not because the tail lights are led already I think.

oh, I was thinking headlights haha.

the hybrids are odd things, as they went up in trim levels they got less efficient stuff. the Tahoe might have got led lights, along with the aluminum hood, front aero and rear hatch aluminum with a fixed glass to save weight. the yukon got non of that.. the front air dam might be a touch lower, but it's got the cargo hooks, none of the aluminum body panels or no led anything. rear lights are wired differently, but same old school bulbs. the caddy got even less. for the first few years they got higher 3.73 gears and all. very weird of gm.

mostly marketing I'd guess, if you can afford the escalade you don't actually care about fuel costs, you just wanted the badge haha.

4th E85 fill up and all I can say is wow. I don’t think I can go back to even premium fuel again. What a huge difference. The thing even sounds better with the stock exhaust. Shifts better, and don’t even have to barely push down the peddle, even while on the highway. I had an 07 V8 grand Cherokee that was E85 and it ran a little better but nothing like this thing. Pics just because.

Mystery solved by left radaitor tank is leaking. I opened the hood before statrting and it was wet. New RAD is in my future. bummr
Mine weeped for over a year, just replaced it a few months ago. Not enough to leak onto the ground, just wet the radiator support and dry off.

Awesome! Experienced the same thing myself, 4 or more tanks for the computer to fully adjust and the motors love it. Like you said as well, even the transmission likes it!
