I’ve got a 18 Escalade.

I get a lot of false alarms with what I think are heavy vibrations. For example I park next to the freeway at work and will hear it going off when a big truck rumbles by.

Dealer is worthless, onstar doesn’t register the alarm

Does anyone know which/where some of those alarm control modules are located so I could look to reinforce or replace? I assume there’s a tilt/vibration sensor built into one of them.

In another forum someone suggested that the rear glass may be the culprit if the wires are lose or frayed as it thinks the rear window is broken if the grid loses continuity, but does anyone know if that’s a possibility too

Thanks!

I would guess it is a sensitivity issue, I would call the dealer service department and ask if the alarm sensitivity can be adjusted or not.

On my car which is previous generation, the shock sensor is tie strapped to the main wiring harness under the dash on the driver's side. It has a sensitivity knob.
