Thanks gents. I have new spares plus the tool already, and am kicking myself for not putting them in. The low side is only a couple years old and is fine, but I knew the high side was probably due and I just rolled the old sleeping dog dice. I’ll take it up to the shop and have it evacuated again this week.

Did you try pushing down on the ball and letting it pop back into place? At least in mine, the high side has a ball bearing type of thing that pushes up against an o-ring or seal. It’s similar to a schrader valve in that it has a spring but instead of the pin type thing it has a ball. Maybe a bit of dirt got in it. Of course you might make it worse too. :rolleyes:

replaced the passenger side mirror, mirror works fine but in the process the triangular trim piece broke a clip off and almost all the door panel clips broke off
so if you plan on pulling door panels off of a 10+ year old vehicle invest in some of these, gm wants about $8 each
:rage::win:
Just went back to reread Wes's post!
