Not familiar with the z55 suspension but noticed my bags are broke and installing new arnotts today on newly purchased 2012 Yukon. When I turn the key on, the compressor kicks off after running for about 5 sec. I disconnected the air line and I feel air coming through the line but it still shuts off. Shouldn’t it run continuously with line off? Just wondering if I should replace pump to?

Welcome to the Forum from NH.

Pics of the truck, please.

The compressor has an automatic shutoff in the case of a leak, so that you do not burn out the compressor (doesn't always work). However, the length of time that the compressor runs during a leak situation is longer than 4-5 seconds (which is normal for a system without a leak).

Do you have a Tech 2 or equivalent bi-directional scanner? If yes, you should be able to test the various functions of the compressor and identify any issues.

I can attest that the first part is normal. Not sure about the second as I don't own a car with rear air anymore.

What part of the Sunshine State are you headed to?
