I did the dod & vvt delete about 6 months ago. I used the BTR torque cam. Anyone else using this cam feel free to chime in. It didn’t seem to do much for my 13 Tahoe. I had my heads machined (clean up mill), seals springs valve job etc, new 10295 oil pump, tune blah blah blah….wish I had gone with the truck Norris now.

Truck Torque cam? If memory serves, the Truck Norris is just a little better, not worth a change from Truck Torque to Truck Norris. Truck Norris shined above 6,000 rpms. Truck Torque wasn't made to run as high as I recall.

If it delivered 20-30 horsepower, that can be hard to feel. Best way to measure performance is with timing devices, Draggy, VC-200, drag strip, etc.

I had a BTR stage 2 truck cam in my 6.2 for a little while, and I didn’t like it as much as I like the cam motion stage 2 truck cam designed specifically for the 6.2 that I have right now. I’ve noticed at the BTR cams seem to be ground as a compromise between the 4.8, 5.3, and 6.2 engines.

The difference between the BTR cam and the cam I have now are both noticeable and measurable. I used to have to drop down to second gear at 45 miles an hour on one particularly long 7-8% grade on I-64 in West Virginia when pulling our camper. With the cam motion cam, I can stay in third and hold 55 to 60, no problem.

If you don’t mind sharing the cam card for the cam you put in, it might help us with offering input if you’re thinking of making a swap.

Tahoe is for sale now anyway, just a little let down in the torque cam. I have a new toy now…

Have you seen what LT Holman did with your twin? 4.30 gears, AWD, Supercharger and it runs 12.0s or high 11s.
I have not but I really liked what he did with the orange truck. 4.8 and LSA.

My bad swath…I thought you meant “twin” as in a Tahoe. I have seen his orange truck. It’s sweet.
