New 2022 Tahoe Z71 with Air suspension. When I set the Tahoe into Tow Mode, my air suspension no longer goes up or down.

When I put a load on it in Tow Mode, the suspension never goes back up and there is tons of squat.

But when I put in in Normal Highway mode, the suspension will try to stay level and I hear the air compressor kicking in.

Anybody have issues with their Tow Mode?

The Tow mode was running fine the first 2000 miles and I just did a 3000 mile cross country trip towing a RV Trailer.

Unfortunately you may have an issue. When you say tow mode you do mean the driving modes, rotary dial to the left of steering wheel.

Have you tried adjusting the air ride height to see if the system can move up and down?

U really can't adjust it for up and down, but you can set it to different modes and the icon for filling air or removing air comes up. It comes up in the different modes but no longer works on Tow mode.

I’m confused by what you are saying. The Z71/air Ride suspension is both automatic and manually adjustable.

I have a 2022 Z71 with air ride.

If you hit the little button under your mode switch another menu comes up to set 1 of 4 ride heights. You can adjust 1-3 but have to be in 4 low in order to reach maximum ride height.

In theory tow haul and air suspension are totally different systems.

Also I apologize if you know all this I am not insinuating you don’t, I am just not quite sure what you mean.

I still say for sure you have an issue if you have rear squat the air ride system is not working correctly.

I understand what you mean, yeah, those three settings do work. The car does go up and down.

Its the other menu with Highway, sport, and tow mode. The tow mode doesn't work anymore and there's ton of squat.

I'll have the dealer take a look. thx

If it helps, in tow mode, the air ride does not operate the same; the vehicle levels itself and holds so as not to disrupt the trailer level. , it's not broken. It is a feature for levelling. Not sure if this is what you are experiencing. With a 7000LB trailer, the truck is completely level.IMG_4898.jpeg
