I thought you still had your old one as a second car.
LOL I did!! Then I didn't.

I hated the seats in my 2017 Denali XL. Did not love the ride either. It did everything else very well, but for that money I bailed out into an S550. I bought the 2013 suburban as a second vehicle and things were rolling along just fine for 2 years. The 2013 had much better seats and ride IMHO. The LS trucks are the best. Then I started racing more which meant more towing.....and the suburban was a chore trailering especially interstate. My suburban was in incredible condition, and had the towing HD towing package with 3.42 gears. But after diesels, and that 6.2 it just didnt cut it. The market went crazy, I got insane money for it and it was just in the beginning of this insanity and I got a discounted 2021 Sierra Denali CC, 3.0, with the ultimate package. It was a win on both sides. I absolutely love this 3.0, and my truck. But as I explained the Yukon XL does all things. So like musical chairs....I'm stuck in a great truck for the time being. Not complaining at all, it was my doing. Miss my mint Suburban....but will not be paying over sticker at 82K for a new Denali anytime soon. Thats the whole story!!!

Ok, got it now, these new T1s and the diesels are really nice! Has me thinking too!

So with the Suburban and towing, was it underpowered with the 5.3 towing the race car? Or was it the chassis?

Suspension was fine, only repair ever needed was new Arnott rear air bags which were better than originals actually. Dealer serviced since new, was showroom. It just didnt have the power or torque. That 6 speed was always downshifting to maintain speed. Just an annoying tow vehicle not having the torque to get up to speed. Local, no big deal, but interstate I wanted to kill myself. I called Texas speed and was going to put a cam in it, but it was such a mint truck, I didnt want to mod it. They gave me 20K on trade and it had 120K on her. The condition helped. The 2017 6.2 8 speed was great- fuel mileage was pretty good. But in 2021 the mileage actually went down and then read real world was even worse. A bit surprised. I am loving the 3.0. 24 average, 28 if I try, 15-16 towing!! Crazy truck.

Oh, my........
Way back in N. San Francisco, I crewed on a few Huffaker - built cars..... Triumph TR8, Corvette & an ex-IMSA Chevy Monza. NOTHING better than a V-8 hauling ass !!
( A shame PBIR is gone )..... I was going to run an '05 BMW M3 on track days.....
(( Your garage looks like a garage at the Aero Club neighborhood ( near my home?? )

For those who don't know, "Aero Club" in Palm Beach County, is a neighborhood you land your plane, taxi to your house & park in your personal garage-hanger... Some people buy a home there for the big garage space.

Used to live over that way in 2005, but we are up in Jupiter now. Found a rental property here that was bought mainly because of the huge lot. Very unusual for the town of Jupiter. Less than 2 miles from my house. After renovations I started on the garage and went right up to the building setbacks. Building department told me it was the largest residential garage in palm beach??!! LOL It did have to be connected to the rental house to pass the zoning. It actually had old zoning that was not changed. It was a fight. After my Certificate of occupancy I was told that this exact garage could not be built on that day any longer!! They changed things. Its literally a commercial garage built behind a 1000 sq ft rental house in the heart of Jupiter. Can't be reproduced. Everyone in the building dept. literally knew my name and the story at the time. Even the building inspectors would ask, "they let you build this"? LOL Great story, and very lucky!!

I just sold a 2004 M3 E46. Greatest car ever. Keep that M3, its just special. It would be great at Sebring.

Cool...... Yea... Sebring...... a tad bumpy - tough on suspensions..... I crewed on a pair of 911 GT3 RSs..... One broke a heim joint and the other broke a CV joint..... It was a 'short 12 Hours, so I packed the truck & hung out on the Corvette team. ( Ron Fellowes & Boris Said )
