Picture of the fresh seat foam installed!

Used a steamer to try and get the wrinkles out of the side bolster.
It's getting there it got it pretty smooth, but I think the sun will help too.

I sort of wanted to replace the leather cover due to the patch on the side but opted to save the $$ since it's not too bad.

I did my foam but I need a cover and it is cloth. :(

I have seen them on ebay, I even ran into the back at one point while searching around.

I could use a seat back foam too mine is whooped. I was thinking of swapping the pass side foam over. Need to look at part numbers to see if they will match or not.

How long did this take you? I have the foam sitting in my garage but haven’t gotten around to it yet. Now the major mechanical stuff is done its next on my list.

Maybe 30 min or so.
it helped to find a youtube video from a seat cover/foam dealer.

I have done this before with my vette too, much easier design with the tahoe since i don't need to fk around with hog rings. :jester:

Did you take the seat out, or leave it in place?

I took the whole seat out and sat it on the ground next to the truck.

I left the seat belt in place, I just wanted more room.

One somewhat pits was unplugging the heater unit

I found it easier to remove the cushion and heater element from the seat completely.

Then I could freely glue the heater to the new foam, and install the cover.

My K02s are looking pretty weather-cracked, and getting loud, so I just ordered four new tires: 275/60R20 Nokian Rotiiva AT from simpletire.com which were the same price as their eBay store, but their website offered a little military discount, so why not. I've run them on my Xterra and Armada and they're great. $770 all in.

When I did mine I took the seat out. I think it is easier out of the truck.

I've done it multiple times in vehicle. Last time I did it was out of the vehicle. Is easier with it out and on a workbench.

Can anybody post a link to some good, easy to install, split loom tubing?

I was going to replace the ones that run along each side valve cover by the coil packs because mine are all brittle and breaking apart, but the loom I have is being a pain in the ass to put on. It must be old or cheap, or both.

I know it's been talked about on here before, but I'm being lazy right now and don't feel like searching, lol

That looks fantastic. When I found out the SLC exhaust was NLA (for 6.2L) I thought about having a custom dual tip fabbed, and having it exit through the bumper like that. But instead of a bezel, I would make a cutout in the lower edge of the bumper and have the tips recessed halfway into it, if that makes sense. I did a quick search for a pic. But I couldn't find one, probably because this detail is out of style now. It was really popular with customs in the 1980's. But I REALLY wanna do it.

Double check that elsewhere, I'm pretty sure the seats for the Silverado's are the same.
maybe just not that color, but who knows.
