My 2012 Tahoe 5.3 flex fuel has developed a gas leak when running from around the gas tank. I'm not able to pull that tank out on my own, so it has to go in. Anyone in the Detroit area, have a dependable shop they can recommend?

Your best bet will be Google maps reviews. Anyone can work on one of these things so it’s not like you’re looking for a specialist German car shop. Those pumps are notorious for rusting through in the Rust Belt states.

I had the one on my 2007 done recently and paid $350 in labor plus the pump. In my case, there is no rust but the fuel pressure regulator in the pump was going out. Make sure that the shop uses only a genuine AC Delco pump.

Hello, I know this was an older post but did you find out what was wrong with you tank?
