Ordered back in December and picked up today. There were a couple things I thought you guys might find interesting:
Our salesperson showed us on his screen that our order status was still showing our truck as being in the rail yard even though it was delivered to the dealership this morning and sitting in our garage right now.

As for retrofitting of heated seats and parking sensors they are under the impression that will start to happen in September. He said the plan is for the service department to contact customers who need retrofitting and this process should be a cluster with the number of vehicles they have sold already that will need chips when they finally become available.

He also suggested that we put in another order for a 23 as the trade in value for our 22 would be higher than what we'd be paying for an identical 23 in 6 months. He said if we did that and ended up deciding to keep the 22 we bought today it would be no loss to them as then they would just have a brand new Tahoe to sell (this dealer doesn't require any type of deposit with orders.) Needless to say as crazy as it sounds we are strongly considering putting in that order for a 23 when they open up and trading this 22 for it, we will see though.

It’s gonna be absolute chaos during late June, July and August when there are essentially no more brand new 2022 Tahoes or Yukons on any dealer lots, outside of maybe one of the very last orders that gets accepted where a deal falls through.

I haven’t met a dealer that doesn’t have an incoming Tahoe not already accounted for. It seems like ordering one now likely will get shifted to a 2023.

There will be some desperate buyers in need of a nice full size SUV for the summer that have no clue about the ordering process, will hear you have to wait XYZ months and say F it I’ll pay $10k over MSRP on a used one with 5-10k miles because we need it

But if someone really "needs" (rather than just prefers) a 1/2 ton based full size SUV that desperately, will they be adamant to buy a GM product over a Ford or a Jeep product?

Functionally, I would consider all 1/2 ton based full size SUV as interchangeable. Meaning, there is not something major that one can do that the other cannot.

No idea what you are talking. Just joined the forums since I just ordered a 22 Tahoe.

Oh sorry then, Welcome!

There was another account named Polo and he was pushing Jeep Grand Wagoneers and soliciting people to use specific dealers in Virginia. All he did was say how GM is in for a rude awakening with their production process and essentially wanted nothing to do with buying a GM but was all about buying other brands.

I’m sure you’ll see him here talk up other brands on here if he hasn’t already on this post. Read his comment history last year he was saying Ford Expedition was going to benefit tremendously from the low GM inventory in Q1 and then Ford Expedition sales plummeted in Q1 lol. Clown show

Haha thats funny. I was actually looking at a Wagoneer and decided to bail because its $20k more even with all the incentives. I was at around $9k in incentives and partner pricing and still decided to bail.

Lol. My local dealer who’s the biggest in the area has 2 dozen grand Wagoneers on the lot. $105k is the cheapest. Clown show

Coulda sworn I blocked you…but I think the digits at the end of your name
don’t match. Create another account?

LOL. Hilarious false flag operation firsttimetahoe.

* The admin was referring to firsttimetahoe with the bolded parts. I'm guessing since he was called out by the admin for not actually "ignoring", maybe his solution was just to create another identity and have a conversation with himself. Curiosity kills the cat.

So I just went through 4 reported posts from this thread. For what it's worth I rejected all 4 of the reports. Here are the bullet points I want to make clear to be concise.

1. be adults and treat people, as such
2. treat people with respect
3. It's ok to not agree with someone else's opinion. It's not that serious and no one will die if they don't agree with everything that is posted
4. if you have an issue with someone and just cannot bring yourself to get along with them in an adult manner then put them on your ignore list and then actually proceed with ignoring them.

We're all adults here and we expect you to act accordingly. If that's too hard to do then we will take actions appropriate for the situation. In this case, if we can't be adults in this thread the thread will be closed OR I'll ban specific members from this thread so that they can no longer participate in it.

Thanks! :waytogo:
