Inspect your stuff and see how it looks. I don't think Id spend the money on a stroker kit, personally. Not for a tahoe but then again, who knows.
Contact the machine shop that did the work and explain to them its eating thrust bearings. They should offer (I would hope) to do a better job, if you think thats the problem. If everything else is checking out and the thrust is the only bearing ******* up, seems like thats a good starting point.
I used the lifter kit they have and back ordered them. Got em a week later. Plus the kits are more like “kits” that’s why they require balancing. Everything is Al a carte. Something on the kit is out of stock that’s why the kits out of stock. Back order that shit and you’ll get whatever they have first then ship out whatever comes in. Also my lifters had a thanksgiving ship date. Came well before that.kinda what I'm thinking.
I'm taking this as a learning experience.
Best way to learn is repetition.
I always wanted to do an engine build anyways.
After the second go-around I'll nearly know what I'm doing!
And my vette came with forged pistons, not that i can hear anything over its exhaust anyways.
But I always like to let my crap warm up before driving anyways.
Pluses,
Forged pistons would handle tuning mistakes better
stroker crank will give me more down low power and torque.
Last time i had the pan off, i noticed that the crank walked enough to offset the piston to rod alignment.
Probably not good...
Bads
more money.
I really need the hoe back soon; it's getting annoying having to share a car with my wife.
I have to find a machine shop to do the balance job.
(But I'll probably just use the same one again... not like they are doing the crank polish)
Kit is not in stock (not much in stock), so I'll be waiting and hoping they actually come in stock for the projected timeframe.
Need opinions on which setup to go with. I’ve got the C-shaped led acting as the drl (also comes on with park lamps). Should I keep the lower bulbs as park and turn or make it like the K2XX Chevy suvs and have them only as turn signals. The side marker light would remain on the park lamp circuit.

I second that notion…I vote park and turn and if you are really nifty with the tools make the side marker alternate with them.![]()
Used the improved racing one. Not that cheap Amazon one. It has two o rings.Has anyone replaced their “plastic” Oil Galley Barbell with a machined one?

Great, now you guys have me adding parts to a list of things to buy that I didn't know I needed.
Isn’t that the reason for this thread?Great, now you guys have me adding parts to a list of things to buy that I didn't know I needed.
ya like $600 fog lights.....Isn’t that the reason for this thread?![]()

they would have banged.....if she hadn't o.d.
You're going to be amazed how crazy bright these things are. Hard to adjust on the yukon.I just bought some diode dynamics SS3 max for the silverado 3500 lumens, $560 ouch, but there haven't been many options for that truck
are those the ss3 max? I would probably adjust them somewhere in between the 1st and last shot, but hard to tell since it looks like the road dipsStock

Aimed too high in the last pic
Yes, SS3 Max. Right now i have them centered (way lower than the pic) and im still blinding oncoming traffic. I found out after i aimed them that fogs are supposed to be aimed down 4 inches from center at 25ft. Like i said, these are hard to adjust. I had to grind down an allen wrench to be able to tighten the screware those the ss3 max? I would probably adjust them somewhere in between the 1st and last shot, but hard to tell since it looks like the road dips
