While driving my 2016 6.2L Yukon Denali on the interstate yesterday I needed to accelerate quickly from about 60 to 80 mph. I mashed the throttle and the transmission kicked down and I started accelerating. About 1/2 way through move the engine, dash and all instrument lights momentarily turned off and restarted. That was quite a surprise. The truck continued on with no further issues. The truck has 96,000 miles on it and has never done that before. Should I have the codes scanned? Does anyone have an idea what could have happened?

Check battery, like @swathdiver said, cables for tightness and cleanliness and check all grounds. The engine movement from hard accel can maybe cause a connection some where to be moved. How are the motor mounts?
