Removal of the Rear Seat Media System

Ordered 2021 Denali, Diesel with the Denali Ultimate Package. Couldn't figure any way to order without the rear seat media system. Has anybody tried removing the monitors yet? Never minded it when it was in the ceiling and closed on my 2010 and 2015.

I’m putting together an order and ordering around it. Most kids would rather play on iPads and I’ve seen how the seats can bang into them when folding. Personally I think they are getting to be kind of dated, like DVD players.....
You can still get most everything by checking the rest of the boxes....

I hope when they crash test these they put dummies in the rear seat. I am curious if there is contact with the screens. I agree with folks on the ipads. This type of media system seems outdated and it is a total miss with GM that you can't order navigation on the lower trims without dumping over a grand on a useless media package most will never use. Hopefully GM fixes some of their options and lack of options. They have lots of folks scratching their heads.

I am about to be in the same position. Can't find a vehicle in stock that has what I want, but not the rear seat media and don't want to wait 12-14 weeks for a custom order. Hoping someone has a solution to removing them.

I was able to order _with_ the premium package without rear seat media. I can find the codes if you want.

Exactly, I’m even ordering with a 2nd row bench. A pretty rare bird....but what we really need....

Whe I was playing with optioning out a diesel, the RSM is one option I know I don't want. along with no sunroof. We hardly use ours now, it gets too hot in the summer in Reno plus we have a Packasport box on the roof much of the time.

No way to remove, so you would need to order the Premium package instead of Ultimate.

You can remove them. Just need to make a filler peice to hide the hole in the leather which wouldn't be hard. DM me directly

Has anyone removed them yet? i'm looking to purchase a screen..... already cracked one...
