2008 Yukon Denali (185K miles).

Just recently, my Stablitrak/Service Break System came on my dash. I've heard Stablitrak can be a nightmare...dozens of videos on Youtube on what to do. Can I just pull the fuse out to disable the warning on my dash? I'm hoping to sell it soon, so I don't want to pump too much money into it. Again, I've been told to get the Stablitrak light off can be anything from $20 to $2000. As for the service break system, any idea what that can be?

Thanks.

pulling fuses will just keep the light on, you have a brake issue, scan it, fix it and you are good
that message looks like you may have a abs pump issue but a scanner that can read abs codes will tell you for sure.

I agree with @Doubeleive with scanning it to pinpoint the problem. Even if you need to invest in a scanner. It could be something simple like you say. One of my wheel speed sensors wasn’t hooked up, so for me it was a simple matter of reconnecting the sensor.

Yep, could be the ABS module, need to have it scanned for the codes. What kind of dash cover do you have there? My daughter doesn't like mine and wants something less "fluffy".

Thanks, but this is what pops up (the stabilitrak and break light do not come on all the time when I'm in the vehicle):

looks like that scanner does not read ABS code's, OBD, SRS and ABS are different, you need a scanner that reads ABS

Yep, gotta have a more advanced scan tool. Where do you live? Might be near one of us with such a tool. That beach shot doesn't look like my neck of the woods.
