Don't they sell those spring clamps at HF?
No. And if they did it would be a variety pack of 100. And they'd be Chinese, so... The two Ace Hardware stores near me, and TSC, Northern, etc. Don't have them.

All the car parts places had a blister pack of 10 in their help section. But none of them were the right size.

I've been looking for an excuse to visit my local LKQ anyway.

No, I did not know that. I have some like-new black projector LEDs from a 2018ish Mustang that I'd like to see if I could make mount like OEM without much hassle or expense. I'll search for them Camaro lights. Or, do you have a link handy?

Just an example...

These actually say they are for an Avalanche.

Anyone ever replace or is about to replace your fog/driving lights? Looking for a set of factory lights for a Tahoe/Suburban/Avalanche to experiment with. The lenses can be foggy or mildly cracked since I'll be cutting on them. But, I need the back side to be good with no broken mounting tabs, etc. For your trash, I'm willing to offer bottom dollar PLUS actual shipping charges (This offer has a "plus"!), trading of virtual friendship (not to exceed acknowledging your existence on this forum), sophomoric humor at your or another member's expense or two days of exchanging of sexts via PMs (pics from me not included, but pics from you will be allowed as necessary).
my originals got all hot & ****** watching **** in HID this made it like the pages sticking together so I had to toss em out and put in hocky puck type led's

I think the biggest contributor is perhaps me being totally insensitive to caring where I park. When I go into a Walmart or Costco parking lot (typically jammed during the hours I tend to be there), I don't spend any time looking for a good place. I just squeeze in as close as I can, probably because I feel kind of invulnerable as anything else. I honestly think when someone does bang a door, it is probably due to it getting away from them, perhaps with hands full and trying to negotiate entry or exit, as anything else.

They are cheap to refinish and unlike the one paintless dent repair job I had done on the rear panel near the fuel filler, involve no fussy metal work. Just a mask, sand and shoot.

Ate these LT strips?

Oooooh. Yeah, I saw those and others like them. I'm being cheap since I already have these factory LEDs and I'm kinda leery of the quality of aftermarket ones. These factory Mustang ones appear to be nice quality and they're like new. ~$50 isn't bad, so I'll keep them as a fallback. I could always put the Mustang ones in my golf cart.

What year/generation of Camaro?

I put these in 3 years ago, I use them every time I drive, still work perfect, waterproof, had a accident and didn't faze them either. good bright output.
I see the price has dropped $20 I paid about $68.00 for them 3 years ago

I have had a hard time finding the OEM type ones forever. If you can find the part numbers for OEM ones they want $5 apiece or more for each one. I’m gonna go to a wrecking yard too.

Well I finally have 2 days off with nice weather, so I plan on replacing the valve cover and maybe cleaning it up a bit inside. Dropping it off for inspection on Wednesday morning.

It does take more fuel flow to make up for the lack of BTUs, but it is 105 octane and if the vehicle is tuned for it, it will make more power.

Many people will try it once, not notice any difference except the 2-3mpg loss, and not get it again. It takes about an entire tank for the vehicle to actually fully get used to it and run correctly on it.

This is what I thought when I first tried it. After a full tank, and another fill up, I was convinced. Now, that’s all I run.

Listen, murphy's law is literally created after me. I've partially learned my lesson and take all necessary precautions and time to complete something. Two days is cutting it close.....

ditto, lol I know when I go to work on one I better not have the other one blocked in so I can run to the auto parts store if need be which is usually.

Spent all day on it, but I have the hoe's engine totally free except for the last three bolts at the top of the bell housing!

That little astro impact i bought a while back + these little compact swivel sockets for the win.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JBJMKXA

that little compact impact + those made this nearly effortless.
Impact: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016Q4Y5CM
(out of stock but you get the idea)

Also wtf GM, the fkn bell housing bolts all had these double threaded ends.
not too bad except for the one on the drivers side.
I had to do some serious thinking and combining of sockets in order to use air tools on that one.
No way was i going to turn a fkn wrench. :D
:jester:

I ended up mixing the above impact sockets with these little compact ones.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JBK1FHG

staked those babies up in order to get one hell of a short deep socket with a swivel.
:challenge:

Also the engine mounts, what a pita.
I have noidea how i'm going to bolt those damn things back in.
:yuno:

Also i don't get this one out often, but this air ratchet fkn rocks.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UB1YHVG

It can do something like 130ft lbs.
If not careful, you can pin your hand in there and bruise the fk out of your self.
I rarely ever use it to tighten bolts, had it break a few when i was first figuring it out.

Shower time, then bed.
tomorrow it begins again.
