Wha? Aftermarket has it covered 100%.Found out there is NOT a GM plug for cigarette to USB conversion that doesn’t involve routing it to the head unit. Scam.
Glad you got the brick reinforced!

Pretty much all the USB outlets fit the hole size of the power outlets/cigarette lighter outlets. Here's one on Amazon and if you read the Q & A's at the bottom they say it fits the same size hole as a cigarette lighter/accessory outlet. This one connects to 12v and converts it to 5v for USB. Make sure the one you buy does that.A replacement cylinder? I’ve only been able to find adapters but I gave up after a couple google pages.

There’s tons of these out there. They pretty much all fit the outlet holes. Just find one with the fuse holder you want and install it at the fuse panel and run the wire from there to the outlet. The downside I see to that one is that is has the 10A inline GLASS fuse. Maybe it never blows but I wouldn't want to be looking for it when the outlet doesn't work. I'd think about hardwiring it since that's a fused circuit anyway, but I'd need to see what size fuse is in the truck. LOL

If you’re putting fuse holders in hidden locations then you probably shouldn’t be doing your own wiring. That’s just common sense. I’m sure the instructions say to run it to the battery anyway, at least that’s what I’ve seen with all these aftermarket accessories. But if you want to connect it to the existing 12 v source that was hooked to the accessory outlet, then by all means wire it direct since it already has a fuse. But I’d never put a fuse holder anywhere except right at the fuse box or battery.Agreed. But I think many are just tying it into the existing wires behind the dash panel.
Why go through all the hassles, just spend $8 and get an Aukey mini flush fit usb adapter.

Search my friend.Needs more OEM vibes!
Why be a dick when you can, well, be a dick? Why by a Denali when a minivan is more economical?
I’ve installed three, all of them fit. If you read the Q & A’s at the bottom sometimes they answer the question. But if not I guess a bit of Dremel or filing would work.In my experience those aftermarket hardwire usb charges are larger than the hole. I've had to trim a tiny bit of the dash
