Haven't done it yet
don't do that on newer cars the capacitors might reverse current and damage items in the system
( it only happens under certain conditions, i.e if a reverse current protection diode is broken)

just hook up an low power 12v bulb to discharge it with the battery disconnected..

did you disconnect the battery before working on it?

I haven't had a chance to do anything to it but I drove it on Wednesday and it was way better. I had forgotten about it since it wasn't even acting up. I'll see on again Tuesday how it drives.

I have a 2019 and touching the terminals together is what it took to clear up my check engine light and rough running. Worked Great!

I ran into this same problem today. Cleared the codes and they came back. I’m under warrantee so I’ll let the dealer mess with it.

replaced my air filter no heavy shuttering so far, it was starting to get really bad almost impossible to drive (as it was continuous at low speeds yesterday) i drove it to day Zero issues even without waiting from going from reverse to drive

typically this would cause the shuttering there is a lot of very fine dust/dirt(fine as powered sugar ) trapped in the filter (replaced it with a OEM filter from rock auto)

looked 100% clean but was dirty and clogged

Ok so now I'm no longer getting the original codes I posted about. Now I'm getting a P0174 which is Lean on bank 2. The truck is only a 17' with 75k on it so I don't think it's going to be an intake manifold gasket. I did just have a muffler welded on So I need to check the welds for an exhaust leak and also check for any loose vacuum lines.
