I bought a new car last November and this has mostly been sitting ever since. It's a 2000 Escalade with the rear barn doors. 239K on the chassis but the engine is a Jasper rebuilt and I suspect the transmission is also. I can't say for sure on the transmission. It s a straight car with no rust. It has one scuff on the right rear corner. The history as I was told by the previous owner is it was originally a tow vehicle for a race team. It was reduced to shop truck and after a while parked. He got it and was driving it but wanted a BMW I was selling. It had a lot of issues that I have corrected over the 1 1/2 years I've had it. The biggest was he put a "system" in it and removed it when we swapped. I've been correcting issues from that ever since. This is basically a upscale GMC Yukon. Cadillac didn't get a .dedicated SUV until 2001.

350 V-8 (I'm old, I don't call it a 5.7), automatic, 4X4 (not AWD). It looks, runs and drives nice. While it has sat this winter, last winter it was my daily driver.

The interior is decent. It's definitely showing it's age. The drivers seat is cracked and the heat function isn't working. The passenger seat will cook you. I don't know about the rear seat, I've never tried it. It could use a good cleaning.

It has a 2 inch lift and some serious all terrain tires. (Firestone MT2). If you want something that will feel like gliding on a cloud, this isn't it. If you need something for unimproved roads, or just trails, this will do the trick. I've used it to pull cars on trailers and it handles it just fine. You have to look in the mirror to make sure the trailer is still back there.

It does have it's warts. Besides needing a good cleaning, it has the 200K GM slop in the steering. I was going to replace the steering gear but never could find the time. Price includes repair. If you want to take it as is, the price will drop. The drivers door lock cylinder wouldn't stay in a new handle I put on but the fob locks and unlocks all the doors. It has some really heavy tinting all the way around. I meant to remove it, at least from the front windows, but there again, I never had the time. I've gotten used to the eyebrow on the windshield but think it's a bit much.

I have a clean and clear Indiana title in my name. I'm just outside Evansville Indiana in the extreme S.W. corner of the state. I recently made a 500 mile trip with it to bring a pickup back.

I plan to head over to a friend's shop where it's parked with a different camera. My company cell phone evidently takes too high a resolution picture for the system to up load. I've been swamped with scammers on my Craigslist ad wanting to buy my "item". I hope they enjoy the time shares, life insurance and gay **** I'm signing them up for.

I've seriously thought about uploading a video walk around onto Youtube. I've done that before. It let's a prospective buyer look at it all around as well as hear it run.

It's the telemarketers I really have fun with. For a little time after high school, I did a little air work at a radio station. I'll answer the phone with my best radio announcer voice and say "Next caller, you're on the air. Name and home town please." For the really persistent ones, I'll answer the phone and whisper, "It's finished, but there's a lot of blood". The creme de la creme and my favorite was when I was working in our security office and answered the phone like Cheech and Chongs album "Big Bambu". "Hello? Oh jeez, it's the cops!" and hung up. When they called back, answer the phone "Agent Wilson, who is this?" When I did that, the radio we use between guard rooms broke into some chatter. They didn't call anymore. The guard I was helping with paperwork nearly fell out of her chair laughing.

With most places closed, I had time to take a video of my Escalade. Sorry about the shakiness but I have trouble with my hand shaking as well as I kept stepping in holes.

It's not a great video, but I think I showed all the angles. If you're wondering why I'm selling, you'll see a small red SUV in the back ground next to the U-haul trucks. Since I bought that, the Cadillac just sits.

I’d love to buy and use as a work truck. But I’m not anywhere near you haha. Good luck looks like a nice truck!

I don't know where Big Bear Lake is, but it's about 2500 miles to Los Angeles. The fuel cost might be a tad excessive. I'm pretty sure it would do it no problem, but towing a truck 500 miles home really drank the fuel.
