Damn it, my aftermarket lights just arrived....not sure if I should go through the hassle of getting them done at the dealer, or replace them with my aftermarket lights. I literally just got them today.

GMC has issued a notice N182180270 for 2015-6 Yukons warning that tail lights may intermittently go out. If this happens, GM will replace up to 72,000 miles or 5 years. Past repairs will be reimbursed.

Left unsaid is how you're supposed to know if lights go out intermittently, unless some kind soul tells you at a traffic light or someone crashes into you.

Apparently a circuit trace inside the housing cracks, so circuit makes & breaks.

My driver side would go out by tapping on it. The passenger side not so much. I just told them it was flickering. Honestly, idk if it ever actually did, but they replaced it anyway. So my dealer replaced both under the special coverage, as I have 47k on my ‘16

Crooks! Bad defect in these lights and they won't cover these over 72,000? Man up GM and do what's right. Geesh

Totally agree. There were multiple periods of time when GM was even out of stock of Yukon tail lights because they couldn’t keep up with how many needed to be replaced and now they want to offer special warranty coverage only to a 72K miles? GM there isn’t shit special about what you’re offering, the 2015 model is 5 yrs. old, your 72K mile coverage doesn’t mean anything.

I had a 2017 Yukon in my shop Friday with P/S tail light not working but the special coverage is for 2015-2016 models.
