Ooooh, that was a close one....

Glad you caught it, and I can't wait to see the videos either!

Did you have to remove the drive shaft, or just undo it from the rear diff?

You know next crazy question what made it crack ..someone put in a wrong starter before you got it ? Mine it's 2 exhaust manifold bolts missing because after 15 mins it's perfectly quiet no tick after it's heated up . I put one of them push clamps on till I can get time to fix it right . ..

I saw a couple loose manifold bolts under there, I will tighten them on the next oil change. Thanks for mentioning that earlier.

Mike, your amazing. Necessity is the mother of invention. It took me like a week to do my rear main seal, and I have a nice climate controlled shop with painted smooth floors and a lift. You da man!!!

I have to ask? what did you use to loosen and tighten the torque converter bolts? I had to buy a stubby 1/2" drive air impact and a swivel socket. The torque converter bolts had lock-tite on them from the factory. I used the blue lock-tite when I went back together.

I think another day or two of driving it with the broke flexplate and things were gonna get interesting.

Good save
