I just got tires for it and I hope I have the right rating for the tires. I got 265/R16 114t max load 2601 lbs, 44 PSI. I do not tow with the truck, no camper in the bed, don't haul stuff with it. Essentially just a fam car!

If your door sticker is sill there, it will tell you your axle ratings. Most 1/2 ton pickups are about 3000-4200 pounds. Plenty of tire.

So is that max load of 2601 is per tires I assume. Total of all 4 is what covers what I may be hauling or towing?

So I should only haul or tow about an additional 3k lbs if I ever need too? I have had the truck 3.5 years and have never hauled anything (has a fiberglass lift cover over the stepside bed), towed a Miata once with a full size Uhaul trailer.

Not likely. GVW is the most that your truck can weigh. GVWR is the most that your truck AND what you're towing can weigh.

This information should be in your door jamb on 2 stickers. Additionally, on your RPO sheet one of the "C" codes will also have your GVW rating and the "J" codes will contain the GVW brake rating.

ok, you sorta lost me. Based on how I use the truck I feel like I am safe to run on the tires I bought?
