I have a 2017 Yukon XL 4x4 with the factory 18” wheels. I’m about to level the truck with 1” spacers and 2” Rancho RS7000MT shocks up front and 2” spacers with Bilstein 5100 in the rear. I was wondering if there would be any issues running such a wide tire on the factory wheel? Would wheel spacers help? If it this size is too wide I think I’ll go with a 285 series. I like the look of a wider tire but I like the factory wheels and I’m not interested in buying aftermarket wheels. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The tires will fit on the wheels and work fine, although the manufacturer will most likely not recommend wheels that skinny for that width of tire. And some places (like discount tire) may not mount them because they are not an approved width wheel for the tire.

Also, unsure if you will have clearance issues up front with the knuckles. You may need a spacer to get the tire away from the knuckle.

Thank you for that info. It’s my wife’s Yukon so I think I’ll go with a narrower tire then. Been looking at a 275/70/18 and I think it will look nice on it. Might have to think about less height when I go to level it. Thank you again!

Did you get these? I want the same, but that 275/70/18 size is almost exclusively E rated (except for 2 tires I dont want) - did she complain about increased harshness with an LT tire?
