Just bought truck Friday. A very short lady had owned it and it was a mom truck. I’m 6’4”, 250 lbs so I need pedals all the way down. Tried to push button on dash and it was stuck acting until I pushed a little extra and heard a pop sound. It was just stuck from never being used. The switch moved the pedals up or down now but I only about 1/4 inch. I really appreciate advice.
Thanks

I found out about the pedal adjustment set up during my recent "newer" Tahoe search and that was during a roadtest. I am 6'4" too and noticed the problem right away but I didn't know about the button at the console for that and neither did the salesman. Did you not test drive the rig first? There must be a track down there that has debris on it causing problems. Can you hear any motor noise at all when push the button? That little old lady may have had 4 dogs in there at all times and there is crud in there or something at the console button.

I would get under the dash and take a look with a flashlight, a pop noise doesn't sound encouraging, could have stripped a gear or something I am not real familiar with how the adjustable pedals operate but it has to have some kind of motor/gear, maybe try lubing it up and see if it moves any more or better.

Yes you can hear motor working both direction but pedals only move 1/4 inch. I didn’t know about pedals moving when I test drive it. Never owned anything this nice before.

Sound like me when I bought mine- which is essentially identical to yours, just one year newer.

If the motor runs when you press the button for either direction even if the pedals aren't moving, then I'd say the gearing is stripped. Try helping them move by pushing or pulling on the pedals while you press the button.

I only discovered the problem during the test drive. It was not a problem just because of the test drive. That was when I discovered that I could not stretch out my leg and I knew something wasn't right but I did not know why and neither did the dealer guy that was with me on the test drive.

We did try manually pushing and pulling on the frame on pedals by hand while pushing on button both directions. So?
