We got the fuel pump replacement done, disconnecting the fuel lines just from the pump and the clips along the tank, and the emissions lines from along the other side of the tank. It really wasn't too bad, nothing was really rusted up and we didn't break anything. I used channel lock pliers to remove the ring that holds the pump in; had to work my way around the ring to get it loose but didn't have to even wield a hammer. It's a beautiful day here in the Denver area, in the low 70s now, a perfect day to work on it. Fixed just in time for the snow that's supposed to be coming tomorrow!
