No rear swaybar

Has anyone removed their rear swaybar on 4/6 drops? Mine is riding on the control arm bolt and it makes the truck do some funky stuff when going over off-axis bumps. Before I go through the struggle to remove it, I want to see if anyone has taken theirs out and not regretted it

Have you, you did not say in your opening salvo, contacted the company that offers the drop parts if they have something along the lines of what you ask for? Was the drop a one off or from a kit?

every time I’ve seen someone say they have the exact same problem, they say “it shouldn’t do that, it must be installed wrong” so I’m not even going to bother asking them

I just don’t want to go through the trouble of removing it, have it handle poorly, then have to reinstall

Without seeing it or the underside of a Suburban at the moment, can you install the bolt the other way if it's the threaded end that's hitting? Instead of completely removing the bar, can you just disconnect the links and slide it over and zip-tie it up just as a test?

The point of the bar is for handling and control. If it's hitting something and causing worse handling, then it's pointless. With such a massive drop and much lower C/G, it may not be missed.

this is the bolt it rides on. I’ll get under and see if there’s a way to just zip tie it up after disconnecting the links

You probably need some offset end links from DJM. They relocate the sway bar towards the passenger side by about an inch so it doesn’t hit on the panhard bar bracket. They’re in this pic of a kit but you don’t need all of this, just the end links. Contact DJM or Tony aka @NORCAL SS . Your truck will handle like shit around the corners without a swaybar, and the bigger the better.

Already have that kit and yes it’s installed properly. Like I said I’m not the first person to run into this problem with a big static drop in the rear
