Looking for info on being able to have the same video played on both the rear entertainment screen and a aftermarket Pioneer head unit.
I have a 06 Tahoe Z71 that has the stock Panasonic rear entertainment and it also came with a aftermarket Pioneer head unit installed.
I’m trying to figure out how to or how to be able to have a dvd in one of the devices but have the video play on both units at the same time.

Thanks for the response.
I’m pretty sure the radio has a output rca. So if it does I run rca wires from there to the rca plugs visible on the rear video or does it plug in on the inside under the headliner? And also how do you have the power hooked up to a switch to have them on when you want?

No problem.

1. The video RCA are yellow. So yellow ones on both side of the plugs. You can use any rca plugs as long as you match it.
2. I have 2 tvs in the head rest and the rear stock entertainment one in the ceiling. I put the tvs in the seats cause it was killing my view when the tv was down.
3. On the rear entertainment tv I think there is a source button or something to turn it on, I have the rca to the back of the head unit going to the AUX input or whatever they call it input on the tv. The plugs are facing down.
4. For the tvs in the head unit, I put the power load to them on a simple toggle switch so everything I was doing wasn't mirrored until I wanted it to

sounds like whoever installed the headunit did not use the adapter for the RSE, you can buy the adapter and just plug it in and not have to chop anything up or run wires or anything. any stereo shop should have it the adapter is pretty basic.
the only exception would be if the rear screen has it's own separate dvd drive and they are completely separate type units.
