Yea battery was too low they actually charged it this time go figure
I knew they did not charge it the first time

apparently they did not charge it I drove it around to charge it back up all the way

and go figure my engine hours reset and time
I guess the engine hours is only good for counting how long the battery last 1800 hours

it could be weather related i'm going to go buy a new battery from walmart why would i want to spend 159 at autozone when i can get the same battery at walmart for 119$ :) same brand as well (just a different label )

Took it to Auto Zone looks like i have some warranty left but it's prorated so it will cost me 20 dollars to get it replaced . since i got 13mo left.

Why would you go to Wal-Mart and pay $119 when you can get one from Auto Zone under warranty for $20?

someone opened my fuel door flap causing it to drain over night..

there is a switch on the fuel door that tells you the fuel door is open that could wake up the computer...

might just be a phantom switch(to hold the door)

You stated, as if it was a proven fact, that your fuel door being open was the cause of your battery being drained due to a switch on the fuel door that woke up the vehicle and caused it to drain the battery. Then you say there “might” be a “phantom” switch.

In a previous post, not too long ago, you also mentioned that your battery was drained and that you had to clean the connections and tighten up the cables.

You might just have a bad battery or some other parasitic drain on your vehicle’s battery.

I went through almost all of the threads you started since first looking at buying this vehicle to see if there was anything in them that would help give some background and what I found was interesting. You have posted about a variety of electrical and mechanical issues with your vehicle with some interesting statements and initial conclusions.

I get the feeling in reading your various posts that you tend to jump to conclusions that you treat as facts based on your initial assumptions and not gather all of the facts. Did you actually look and see a switch on the fuel door? Did you check to see if opening the fuel door would “wake up” your vehicle? Have you checked the draw on your battery when the vehicle is off?

I am not doubting that your fuel door was open, but I am doubting that it is the cause of your low battery. I say this based on my experiences, albeit with the non-hybrid version, of these vehicles over the past 9-10 years, as well as the other various posts you have made regarding issues with your vehicle.

they will not accept a return with out the receipt anyways it was caused by the weather for sure since there was a rapid cool down compared to say
2 days ago it was well over 100 and about 75 at night
now it's 85 and 55 at night

they got 3 dozen returns today at that autozone and another 2 dozen at the other location..

That is why i will not buy from them. also i can get the same EXACT brand and model at Walmart for $119 (just a different label slapped on it)I also saw costco had a deal as well for $118 but 4 years free replacement.... honestly if the battery is flat in the morning i'm just going to let the suv sit there. i don't really care.. to put any money into at the moment considering the repairs it needs , tires, suspension work, brake job and a new air bags (suspect they were replaced with cheap counter fit ones) i'm looking at 5k might as well spend another 5k and get one in all ready working condition :) no wait time

and to top it off the idle misfire is back again..(suspect the battery again duh) it's sees good voltage 14.8 to 14.9.. from the alternator (HVDC to DC12V+)

No receipt is called for with their return policy. At the time or purchase, the battery is linked to your account. They know when that battery was purchased.

WalMart is the same way. The battery is coded. The battery is then, upon sale, linked to a date of sale. Just go in with battery, associate scans it and says go get your new battery, they can that one. Done.
