I may grab skid plates for myself getting close to wintertime. The OE GM one for the transfer case and that ebay one for the engine with the louvers.

Side note: I found out why the trans was shifting so hard from 1 to 2 at higher throttle position. The tune had the desired shift time for 1-2 and 2-3 almost bottomed out across the table, so it would basically shift as fast as the valvebody could handle, which didn't play nicely with the shift kit I've got. It also has the base shift pressure table turned up a little bit but that all looked fine to my eye so I left it. I figure the stock shift times + shift kit will keep it shifting smooth but with the slightly higher pressures to keep the slip down. Will see. I turned the WOT shift RPM up, but I need to match that to the wheel speed so it will actually shift right. How I have it set now will probably cause it to shift where it was anyway because of the MPH setting.
There is one for the oil pan also, cheap insurance

Does this weekend count instead of just today? I hope so, replaced my drivers seat foam, 100,000 miles of officer butt sliding in and out took its toll. Will replace seat cover soon, need to recoup funds.

Installed new rear rotors, pads, shocks, waiting on 2” lowering springs, my fault, changed the oil & filter, changed out the coolant with fresh Dexcool. Shampooed the interior, plugged up four 15mm holes from something that was bolted to the rear most floorboard by the back panel. Finished the install of the second power outlet on the center console.

Still have a hundred other small things I want to do, but happy with the progress I have made with my 14 year old son helping out.

Is that listing for the oil pan skid plate?

Also, do they come with one stock? I can't remember if my Denali has one or not. I know my 01 SLT has one.

2001 Yukon SLT
2012 Yukon Denali XL
2011 Yukon Denali RIP 5/20/18
I think they only came on the z71, I think my 00 yukon xl had one stock though

Every day you do anything to it counts and you’ve done a lot lately. Good job.
Edit: we do have this rule about pictures though...

Well, Yesterday I pulled my tune out, went and looked at a Esky 2012 with 46k Esv... Drove good, they tried to take my head off on my burb but I got them up to something that was almost bareable, But the esky was well priced for sure..... Still undecided... the 6.2 and miles are the main things going for it... I'm rolling 450 miles a week on my burb, 123k so its adding up fast.... Just don't know if I will be happy with a fully loaded Esky platinum vs my LT burb, and having a car payment again.... Beating my head against A wall I guess...........On the way to work the burb pulled 21 mpg.... Its career best ever trip to work... She sure isnt making the decision easy.

A 2012 Escalade with 46K and 6.2 sounds very enticing. That being said, I would keep the LT Suburban and the lack of payment. At 123K, it’s just getting broken in. Out what you’d put towards a payment away and after a while you can step up a few more model years or have enough not to have a payment on the next one.

Almost exactly what I was going to post except the money you put away I’d save for maintenance items your Burb may need as you drive 450 miles a week. They’ll run forever if you just keep it maintained. For what it’s worth, mine has 217k and is running like a top.

I went through the same, sorta.... i wanted a long body and a 6.2 so i was gonna dump the 13 tahoe for a long esky but since the hoe was paid off and finding something with close to or less mileage (65k at the time) that wasn’t beat up or a livery tool that idled all day was hard and everything i did find was crazy money. Having a pymt on a older model vehicle kinda didn’t jive with me. If im going to have a note its gonna be for a new vehicle. So I bought a 19 yuk xl Denali, kept the 13 hoe and everyone was happy ( me :))

My only mod this week was using vise grips to hold my rear passenger window up after a regulator failure :doh2:
Hmmm, new mod I must’ve missed... will have to try soon...ive done the vise grips under motorcycle trailer for a 3000 mile road trip then 2 years until i went under to fix something and found them mod...

At least those regulators are an easy fix compared to older vehicles. So once you do fix it the job shouldn't be too bad to undertake.
