I drove my wife’s new to us 2018 Yukon XL SLT last night and holy crap I couldn’t hardly see. Driving 75 mph on the interstate was too fast for the headlights. I mean you could not see far enough in from of you at all. My wife complained about them the other night when she drove home in the rain but I blew it off thinking it was just the rain. Unbelievable these things are so nice and GM skimped out on the headlights. I guess I’ll do some reading and see what the fix is but I’m a tad bit bummed on this deal.
Thanks guys for listening to the whining.

I had a 2014 Sierra that had weak headlights, halogens I think? My 2018 Sierra Denali has the LED lights and they are very good even with my old eyes. I am not sure what they used on an 18 Yukon SLT, pull your build sheet and check it out.

put LED bulbs in there. They are about $45. Look for 6,000 or higher lumens PER BULB! Chevy uses a H11 low beam bulb. Check your owners manual for the GMC.

My 2015 and 2017 factory bulbs were adequate. The LED bulbs are amazing. And since the factory headlamps have a built in cutoff, you don't have to worry about blinding oncoming traffic.

Sorry, I don't understand all this coded talk. (SL1, H9) Can one of you post a link to a good bulb for my 2018 Tahoe headlights? I just would like brighter lights, low and high beam. I switched the fog lights to LED, and am super happy. Many Thanks !!

You like that option over the SL1 LED’s?

ALMOST as bright as HID when using a GOOD Quality Halogen Bulb (Philips / Osram). And you're still using the correct Bulb Type that the Projector is intended to use.

Yes, I have personal experience with this. I did it on my '15 'Burb LS, when I still had it.
