Broken record, perhaps... But, it's one hell of a TUNE!

On Wednesday I had the honor and privilege of joining the masses of satisfied Black Bear Performance customers after a wonderful joy ride with Justin and his magical laptop on the last day of the 2019 Atlanta event.

In short; like you've most likely seen stated before, an in person tune is conducted in a professional manor that's 100% focused on you and your vehicle. And, the results are impressive to the point there's a loss of words to describe it adequately. ...however, I'll do my best.

Justin and the BBP team were not just prompt, they were early! They made sure that even the simplest of questions (that I'm sure they've heard a thousand time) were thoroughly answered, and not with a typical stock type of answer. They made sure I not only got the answer but, that I understood it. Justin took the time to get to know me and the way I interact with my Tahoe on a daily basis and then began making changes. If there was an alteration that I thought to excessive he would dial it back to make my Tahoe fit like a tailored suit.

My Tahoe now idles so smooth and quiet that you can't tell it's running. Yet, when you open it up, it moves with as much authority as the technology and equipment can produce. When you don't, and drive conservatively, the MPG gain is equally as amazing. Turning the Tow/Haul button in to a Sport Mode button is just icing on the cake. Hitting that button and giving it some gas on an open stretch of interstate, simply put, gave me the giggles. At the point I thought I was around 75/80mph and looked at the speedometer, I was just north of 95mph.

This is in no way scientific, and it's a very short run... That being said, I live about 50 miles away from where the Atlanta event was taking place, the last 30 of which were all highway. I reset my fuel economy calculator on the way there once on interstate, drove very conservatively, and averaged 18.9mpg. On the way back, I did the same thing and got 24.3mpg. Again, not scientific, not the best gauge of MPG at all. After that I simply couldn't stay off the pedal and testing the upper end of MPG was blown out the window by the performance gains and that kick ass Sport Mode. I do plan on conducting a tank vs. miles test at some point, once I've had more fun. But, I can tell you this, no matter what I did, or how I drove from there on, I couldn't push the MPG calculator down to my usual in-town reading of 13.1mpg. At the end of two days of having a hell of a good time, I'm at 15.6mpg.

Best I can say is this... The level of excitement you had when you first purchased your vehicle, that same excitement you try to reclaim by washing, waxing, vacuuming, and modifying your vehicle... only to end up feeling merely "satisfied". A tune from Black Bear Performance will reset that clock to day one and add so much more.

Justin, Jarrad... you guys kick ass!

Thank you!

P.S. Oh, there was one thing I didn't feel like I'd gotten the whole story on... When I pulled in I noticed a fresh set of burnout stripes on the access road coming out of the hotel. Whomever left them was leaving, and in a hurry. I simply assumed that it was a sign that I was in the right place, though Justin said they had nothing to do with them. :)
