Arnott or ebay for the rear air shocks? Any experience?

I've had a 2007 Yukon XL Denali for about 2 years now. It is in great condition for having 250k miles and I am replacing/fixing things as I come across them.

I replaced my front struts last year with an ebay kit that came with the resistors to bypass autoride. They have worked fine. I noticed then when I was under the truck that the stock rear shocks had torn up airbags. I've been looking around for a while and decided to pull the trigger on rear shocks keeping autoride in the back. I planned on going with the Arnott AS2708 from Rockauto ($400 for the pair and $100 back when i send in both cores). I did some ebaying and found some for $130 for the pair with a 2 year warranty and a couple of good reviews.

I'm cheap..which is why I bought my wife a 10 year old suv I could work on instead of having car payments on a newer one.

Has anyone had any experience with the ebay air shocks? Less than half price seems almost too good to be true but I have had luck in the past with parts from ebay.

I've been more than happy with my Bilsteins. I know they're not autoride, but I don't know if I'd really be able to justify the extra cost for myself.

Here’s some pictures of mine. I’m pretty confident they are junk as well because if I understand correctly, those rubber boots are the airbags. Torn airbags = no airbags. Can anyone confirm?

Rock auto. There was a discount code in the vendor section.

for future reference the arnotts from rockauto are a little more than some other's BUT...you get a lifetime warranty, if you are in it for the long term.

That's the plan once the ebay ones I bought die. I have to fork out some cash for the compressor since I am fairly certain it is dead at this point.

I also went with the Arnotts. I respect that I hear about them on multiple forums going several years back. Call me a sheep, but a good brand name can mean a lot.

Once I replace them, how can I know if the compressor is working? Does it kick on during normal use? I'm concerned that with my airbags blown out like they are, the compressor may have ran itself dead. Does that tend to happen on the GM air ride system? Maybe a fuse will blow first?
