those trucks are known to have lots of failures on the pumps and cracks in the accumulators or lines., been some recalls
but otherwise first thing I would check is that belt is still on, if the belt came off there is a reason why

I remember reading something this past summer about gm being out of stock on the condensers, was like a 2-3 month wait.... but someone figured out a diff part # from another gm vehicle would work or something to that effect. ..... not saying that's the case now but it was a massive ‘campaign’ on those things...

I brought the issue to the attention of the service department and it was covered under the special program and dealer had one in stock and fixed it Friday. Not sure it would of been covered if I hadn’t brought the issue to their attention and mentions that others were getting it covered up to 60k miles. Pays to research some times

Glad it was resolved but it sucks ass that it was an issue in the first place. And that you had to tell the service department what to do.

The dealers always play dumb to try to get out of paying, the one honest chevy dealer by me closed up about 7-8 years ago... wonder why
It's been so long since I've dealt with a dealer (since I always buy out of warranty) that I'm probably the least qualified to comment on situations where their involvement is required.

I know this is a touchy ‘subject’....buying new vs used, but for me, new car smell and putting the first 50k on a car makes me giddy....:D... plus, if something breaks.... it goes right back to dealer.....im not easy on cars.... new or used.
