I'm curious as to what you guys on here are using for plugs? I have no mods, etc. just stock 5.3L but still curious if you guys have seen any increased performance from certain plugs and what are they?

Thanks

Yep, I think Max, Jenna, and JK still have em. Wouldnt say I noticed much of a difference but if your going with a full engine set up every bit helps

I gained a bit of top end power or maybe efficiency is the better term. Part # for the v-power plug is 2238 you can get them at any napa/advance/checker just be sure to gap them at .040.

Why are these plugs gapped at .040? Manual says stock plugs gapped at .060? Is the variation due to brand?

GM redid their specs on them (cant remember to what) and then people figured out that .04 gives you a little more performance.

I run the Delco OEM Iridium plugs. Spendy, but worth it for the lack of maintenance, IMO...changing the plugs on these trucks is a royal PITA.
