Long story short, I decided to keep the otherwise stock Tahoe and document her journey as I breath new life into her 5/3. I'm not exactly sure how far I'm going to take this as I will let her decide. So far I have had the tranny rebuilt with stronger internals and added a corvette servo. (The corvette servo is bad a**...it really grabs first and second). So far I have received the DOD delete kit, cam, oil pump, springs, lifters, rods, gaskets, and motor mounts. I'm still waiting to receive the water pump, pulleys, CHE trunion kit, and a few other goodies. I'm excited to start the build. I'll be sure to make periodic updates on her progress. (FYI, I'm not a certified mechanic but did grow up turning wrenches on eighteen wheelers). Time to do work!
(On a side note, I have a "Range" that I will be selling after the build. It has worked great thus far)
