Key Fob battery Low - Recharging unit in armrest cubbyhole

I know I'm probably late but my key fob battery is dying and I found the charging unit in my armrest cubbyhole.

This is on a push-button start I’m assuming?

I don't think it's a charging unit. It's just close to the sensor so that it gets recognized when the battery is low.

Section 2-15 of the 2015 owners manual.....It doesn't charge the fob, just used to reprogram and work when the battery is too low for the vehicle to detect the fob.

Wait, what? There is a charging unit in the center arm rest? Mine had been low for quite some time, but I never messed with 'replacing the battery'. I had no idea one simply recharges it.

I'm going to have to read the owner's manual again. Ahh ok I thought it was charger for the key fob because that's how it showed on my speedometer screen its an key fob charger in my 2016 Denali.

It could be on your year and model. That would be pretty cool, I hate replacing those batteries.

2032 batteries are not rechargeable, has to be changed
