I purchased a used (but seemingly in great condition) 2015 Denali four months ago. Since the purchase, I've had the driver's side interior A pillar molding pop off. Clips broke and it had to be replaced. I've had to replace the OnStar/Sirius XM shark fin antenna - popped an error code a month into ownership due to a leak and had to be replaced. Seems to be a common problem I've seen on the forums here. The applique moldings on the doors are all coming off - another common problem I've seen on here...I've put a band aid repair of double face tape on them for now....and the latest and greatest of them all is the AC compressor ceased up and needed to be replaced to the tune of $1200. All this on a vehicle with 50k miles on it.

Needless to say I am not getting the "Professional Grade" feeling right now.

TonyR0206, first of all read as much as you can about your Yukon and come here for help when needed. If you do a search on the appliques I believe someone used Gorilla glue and has not had an issue since. The AC condenser should be covered by recall special program 17336 on 2015-2017 Chevy, GMC and Cadillac large SUVs 5yr/60,000 miles extended warranty and reimbursement through November 20, 2018. Call 800-462-8782. Shame on your Dealer for not knowing this. I would then take your reimbursement money and do another search for online GM Dealers selling discounted extended warranties. I would not own one with the new electronics without one. New headlight $1000.00, New taillight $750.00 and so on and so on. Good luck.

I took it to a local shop, a guy I've known for years and is as honest as the day is long. We couldn't wait to order one on E-Bay as I was leaving to go out of town for vacation the next day. He looked for a refurbished one and for one one at a local parts recycling company-nobody had one in stock except a local dealer, who whacked me $450 for a new unit. The compressor ceased and sent shards of metal throughout the AC system. They had to replace like four different parts, including the compressor, filter & dessicant bag.The dealer wanted $1200 just to replace the compressor and nothing else.

You may want to take a look at your paper work if you have not already done so and see if they replaced the condenser also which could have caused your compressor to fail.

Thanks! When I took it to the dealer for the initial diagnosis, the dealer told me that HOPEFULLY the problem is with the condenser, because it's covered under warranty. Of course, it was the compressor, which wasn't. This is the first vehicle I HAVEN'T bought an extended warranty on and I'm regretting it as it's the vehicle that's needed it the most.
