i have a 2011 yukon xl 2500 w a 6.0L. i am wanting to upgrade my air intake and would like to know what ones are good to get and actually perform as stated. k&n does not make one direct fit for my vehicle, does anyone know if the standand intake for the sierra trucks will fit with no additional adjustments?

What's your goal for "upgrading" the intake? Sound? Power? Other?

Honestly, most aftermarket intakes are a joke, do nothing to improve performance, and "less restrictive" means less filtration and more junk being inhaled into your engine. The only intake mod even remotely worth the money is the Air Raid MIT, and they don't make one for our trucks where you can buy just the tube. The cone air filter is worthless, and that's a lot of money for a plastic tube.

If you're looking to improve performance, a tune is going to get you the best bang for your buck. My Blackbear tune really woke up my Burb.

Other than that, more power is going to require heavier modifications - new cam, forced induction, etc.

I totally agree with intheburbs. These intakes are mostly for looks and sound. I installed the AirRaid MIT on my 6.2l. I noticed some sound difference but other than that not much. My gains came with a Blackbear tune and full exhaust.

I put the ls7 throttle body and k&n Blackhawk on my 6.2l I don't see why the Blackhawk wouldn't fit the 6.0
