As I mentally prepare myself for my future audio upgrades, I found very little to no info on the type of speaker thats int he D Pillar nor any details on options. I see some youtube posts in the previous gen but just looking to see what you guys have done back there? My first idea is to go 2 components, one for front and throw a tweeter back there mixed with mids in rear doors. But according to previous gen, a 3.5" speaker fits back there. So maybe a coax in rear doors and a 3.5" speaker back there would work? I'm not familiar with 3.5" setups. Thanks for any feedback and ofcourse pics always help the most.

Go to www.crutchfield.com, enter your vehicle specs and then look up direct-fit speakers for that application. That should be a good if not excellent starting point to identify the type/size speaker that will fit and work well.

Just took a look and Im showing 1" tweeters in that rear pillar and even looked at previous generation. The video I saw seemed different from what crutchfield is telling me but 1" tweeters back there seems like simplest option. Thanks for the direction.

I put 3.5" coaxials back there. I used Infinity Kappa 32.9 for the 2 ohm impedance.

IIRC what came out of there looked like a tweeter, but it was bigger than 1". I'm thinking 2.5".

The 3.5" took some slight modding and I don't think you could go much bigger.

Hope this helps.

Thats what I saw on youtube but also seen front tweets. Why would rear tweets be bigger than fronts?!

Could that back speaker be a midrange? The size resembles one, just shocked at the placement. Typically the best stage/sound is near the tweet and mid.
