Why repleace ?

stock radio / CD player have good sound quality , what you guys gain when repleace head unit ?
Not mentioning GPS , I'm not using this gizmo ...:D

Example : the best sound , 2006 Lincoln Navigator THX system
Next , 1991 Lincoln Mark VII LSC SE , with factory JBL speakers
In my Jeep art 8 , I have to play loud to get good quality .
True , some stock radios are crap ,
Like 05 doge ram

I replaced my unit not for sound quality but rather for features. The stock units are extremely outdated and limited, primarily based off of 2007 technology for the most part. If you were looking to get improved sound with additional amp/speakers (improved also means clearer sound, important to anyone truly into music), they would match up better/easier with aftermarket head unit.
