Hello y'all,

My first post here, I have been lurking and reading posts for a little while now. I have a 2004 Tahoe Z71 and it is my daily driver and I am in need of putting in some new shocks. The ones on there now are for all intents and purpose shot. I am looking at leveling my truck in the future and want to get shocks that are compatible with it. I am not doing a lift at this time as I would still like to park in my garage.

Looking at Bilsteins catalog I see there are two part numbers for the 5100s:

0-2.5" of lift:
Front: 24-186643

0-1" of lift:
Rear: 24-187237

4-6" of lift:
Front: 24-185950

0-3" of lift
Rear: 24-185783

I am looking at just replacing shocks right now and in another month or two getting a set of keys and new rear springs to round out the suspension rehab while replacing any bushings along the way. I just am unsure if the 0-2.5" is not enough for leveling or the 4-6" would be too long and have the shock out of its performance window.

Thanks,
Coop

I just added aftermarket keys and 1.5 spacers in rear to my 2004 Z71. Bought them both(keys and spacers off eBay for less than $80.00). I used the 0-2.5 front and 0-3 rear bilstein 5100’s.
