Not sure what this thing is and it appears to have been disconnected at some point. It's on the top of the driver side firewall right above the steering column in my 2008 yukon.

White piece has 2 inputs and 2 outputs cut and taped.
Black piece has multiple inputs and all 5 outputs cut and taped.

The lower set of wired may have been hooked to a brake controller for towing since it has the correct color code. The black/red wire since it is larger wire size is aux battery related. JMHO and good luck.

That is actually the proper procedure for the dealership to follow when they disabled the heated windshield washer fluid system as the recall required due to potential fire hazards along with pulling the fuse.

If the recall was done, which in your case it was obviously, the owner at the time received a check to compensate them for the loss of one of the options they paid for.
